Mexpress Transportation was started in 1998 to reduce travel and customs clearance time in and out of Mexico. It was just made legal to move goods in-bond in Mexico again in 1998 but Mexican Customs made it very hard to get permission to do so. From Guadalajara and Mexico City airports to Mexpress in 2000, in-bond service started.

Mexpress offered 48 to 60 hours from Los Angeles Airport, using Nogales Sonora as the entry point. we could compete with delayed air service and often beat regular air freight service because of backlogs at LAX. As part of our growth in 2005, Mexpress added service points at Dallas-Ft. Worth Airport and Monterrey Airport as consolidation hubs.

As of 2006 Mexpress added Houston Intercontinental as a service point and started pushing for changes to Customs rules and software updates. Since then Mexpress has added ad hoc service to and from 13 airports in Mexico and regular road connecting service to and from 4 major airports.

There is a regular LTL Road Feeder service Mexpress runs between 4 airports in Mexico and our drop points in Dallas, Houston and Los Angeles. Bypassing the normal border clearance process this service cuts out the costs and wait times that come with the normal process. Customers get 2 to 3 days of travel time which includes weekends and can see our packages all the way to our destination.

Once the goods get through Mexican Customs Mexpress can bring us the last mile for an extra fee if asked. It is very important to find out if the person importing or exporting goods in Mexico has a Mexican broker who can clear the goods when we get to the target airport.
